In Feb. 1945, the Allies virtually destroyed Dresden in bombing raids ahead of the advancing Soviet armies. More than 25,000 civilians died. Some on the continent questioned the necessity of bombing Dresden. I wonder if they know what happened in London during this period?

The Taschenbergpalais was originally built from 1705 to 1708 as a palace for Countess Anna Constanze von Hoym. It was destroyed in 1945 and rebuilt from 1992-95. Today it is a Kempinski 5-star property.
